Easy Access to
Search Engines
and Other Internet Database Directories

First rule: Not
all Search Engines are created equal. The Internet community
is a very large summary of Databases, Directories, FTP sites, Chat Rooms,
IRC, good Web Pages and email. And on the downside there are Spammers,
Porn Sites, Scam Artists, get rich quick schemes. Always remeber those
parties
want to separate you from your money. As one senior scam artist once said,
"their interest is your principal".
Take caution, they WILL take your money.
Why do they do this? Because the internet is a cheap way to advertise,
it's free!
Now to the subject
at hand, there are approximately 1.5 billion web pages
one million plus websites, and 50,000 search engines and directory scanners.
Why so many? Everyone thinks that theirs is the best, the largest or can
really
make money. It is true there are a lot of legitimate businesses and services
doing quite well. I applaude them.
Second Rule: The World Wide Web is like the
Hole that the rabbit jumped
in with Alice in Wonderland. Except this hole is a bottomless pit, this
is
the way I like to explain it. A lot of sites give you some information
free,
and in return they give you hidden cookies to track your travels or expect
you to buy something else. Buyer beware, if it sounds to good to be true,
it
probably is. Ease2 is not one of those sites. We do not believe in deception
or using adware, spyware, or hidden cookies. The only way that we know
that you are using Ease2 is by your sending us an email.
Third Rule: This bottomless
pit I speak about is that GREAT time waster.
What I mean about that is you may start looking for and item or subject
and end up three hours later on a subject not related to your original
search. So, watch how you spend your time. There are a lot of sites which
time wasters.
Fourth Rule: Don't
just pick one or two Engines to do your searching.
Use five or six search engines to do your research. The best reason for
using different search engines is that some search engine sites charge
for lack of better words "positioning". This is when a Webmaster
of a
particular site pays the search engine company or datbase administrator
to list the website to the "Top of the List". Yes, this does
happen. This
goes back to greed and the almighty dollar.
I have tried to index what I think are reputable
sites and search engines.
It is true from time to time, you will find a broken link or an Error 404.

any site that you think is worthwhile to students, professors, researchers,
young and old. This site was created for you and by you.

possible. I have tried to make it easy to navigate and easy to read. I
hope
